SCOOPLET: SNAPCHAT HIRES GOP LOBBYISTS — Snapchat, the ephemeral-photo-sharing service, has inked a new lobbying deal with Jochum Shore & Trossevin. It’s the second outside hire for Snapchat, which brought on Democratic firm Heather Podesta + Partners at the beginning of last year. JST will lobby on legislation related to data privacy and security, according to their filing. Snapchat last September also hired Jill Hazelbaker, a former Google exec and McCain campaign communications director, to be its top policy and communications official.
